Redmond Patch Week in Review

Here are some of our top stories from the past seven days.

Sunday: Patch sports editor Mike Baldwin at Redmond's Grasslawn Park. The camp drew more than 100 soccer players and featured an appearance by Sounders FC midfielder Brad Evans. A second camp will be held in Redmond in late August.

Monday: This week's About Town column featured , which just opened its first retail location in Redmond. Started in March 2010 as an online-only store, Smith's venture has already outpaced sales from last year.

Tuesday: Officials from the Lake Washington School District for four Redmond elementary schools. All of the personnel changes go into effect this fall.

Wednesday: Parenting columnist Kathleen Miller , a working farm and family park in nearby Carnation. Remlinger's variety of attractions makes it a perfect sunny-day activity for kids 12 or younger, Kathleen said.

Thursday: Officials from the City of Redmond told Patch and other small domestic animals next month. The discussion has the potential to be the first step in a revision to animal-related sections of the city's municipal code, which currently bans chickens on lots smaller than 1/2 acre.
