Here's a recap of some of our top stories from the last week.

It was a busy week for news here at Redmond Patch. Here are some of our top stories from the past seven days.

Monday: Patch contributor Jeanne Gustafson filled us in on the , a new program that enables residents to barter their time and skills with one another.Β  The system will officially launch in Redmond on March 31.

Tuesday: Parenting columnist Kathleen Miller for what to do with your teen or tween when play dates no longer cut it. Among her suggestions: and Sky High Sports in Bellevue.

Wednesday: We reported that the Redmond City Council is that would allow light rail in residential areas of low to moderate density. The change would pave the way for Sound Transit's East Link rail service.

Thursday: We spoke to the Redmond Police Department about a that happened late Tuesday or early Wednesday in the Overlake area. Residents were reminded not to leave computer cords, GPS stands or any other items that could suggest valuables are present in their vehicles.

Friday: We took a tour of Redmond's , which will open to the public on Monday. The 49,474-square-foot, $18.9-million facility features 50 exam rooms for primary, urgent and emergency care.

Saturday: Sound Cycling columnist Bill Thorness on adjusting your body back into cycling for the spring season. His advice: start slow, be patient and don't forget to stretch.

Sunday: AT&T, one of Redmond's largest employers, to acquire Bellevue-based T-Mobile in a $39-billion deal. The transaction is expected to close in 12 months.
