Redmond Patch Week in Review

Monday: We started off the week with a , a four-mile run that awarded frozen turkeys to the five participants who guessed their finish times the most accurately. Eleven-year-old Makenzie McLauchlan won the event by finishing within nine seconds of her predicted time.

Tuesday: With the holiday season fully under way, Redmond firefighters are planning to give back to the community by . The effort will begin on Dec. 4; click on the link above for a complete schedule.

Wednesday: Wednesday was , Redmond's new organic French caé and bakery. Le Rendez-Vous is located in the Bella Bottega shopping center and owned by Khalid Kaskou, a Paris native with 16 years of baking experience. 

Thursday: We looked ahead to one of the busiest shopping days of the year by . The rush started even earlier this year, with several national chains opting to open at midnight.

Friday: We for homebuyers for four Eastside properties. An series of informational meetings will be held early next month to go over qualifications.

Saturday: This week's Cork Dork wine column , a Woodinville Wine Country event taking place next weekend. Organizers will be offering a shuttle service this year to help travel safely from winery to winery.
