Monday: We spoke with Redmond Mayor John Marchione about , which officially began Wednesday. Marchione said he's planning to emphasize neighborhoods, business and the environment in his bid for another four years in office.
Tuesday: On Tuesday, Patch cycling columnist Bill Thorness that are pending in Olympia. One bill that has already passed adds a bicycle awareness section to the state driver's education curriculum.

Friday: We who were invited to present their DECA project to Eddie Bauer's corporate marketing team. The company also gave each of the students $500 to help cover travel expenses to the international DECA competition, set to take place in Florida from April 29 to May 4.
Saturday: Patch wine colunist Willow Foster , which has been extended from two days to six weeks. The wine tasting event includes 35 different wineries and begins April 16.
Sunday: This week's In Motion fitness column gave us , a sport that Edmonds Patch Editor Heidi Dietrich likened to trail running for swimmers. Green Lake, Lake Sammamish and Lake Washington are all popular open-water swimming locations in the spring and summer, Dietrich says.
