Wednesday: The Redmond Police Department recently . Over the years, Gainer, who joined the department in 1976, filled various roles, including a patrol sergeant, traffic enforcement officer and lieutenant.

Friday: Patrick Rexroat was for the horrific DUI crash that killed popular Kirkland software engineer Steve Lacey last summer. Rexroat had pleaded guilty last month to charges of vehicular homicide and negligent driving.

Saturday: Congressman Jay Inslee to focus full-time on his campaign for governor. The Democrat, who represents part of Redmond in the 1st Congressional District, will resign effective March 20.
