  • Where/When: 8 a.m. Saturday at in Redmond.
  • Why Go: Join the City of Redmond parks and recreation department for its first four mile Poultry Predictor race this Saturday starting at the Mackey Creek shelter in Farrel McWhirter Park. The race is open to all levels of runners because finishing first is not the objective. Runners must guess their running time before the race begins, and those that finish closest to those times are the winners. The five participants who finish the closest to their predicted times will each win a frozen turkey just in time for Thanksgiving.
  • Pricing: Registration ranges from $15 to $30. Register online here.

  • Where/When: 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the in Redmond.
  • Why Go: Come support the community's young people as they mark the end of a month of creative writing workshops with an open mic night and "Island-Style" poetry slam emceed by comedian Chris Cashman. Individuals and teams will compete against one another to see who can write the best poem using the same three words. A Folklife musical open mic session will follow at 8 p.m. 
  • Pricing: Free. Refreshments will be provided.

  • Where/When: 2 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Cascade Plaza Assisted Living in Redmond (located next to ).
  • Why Go: Cascade Plaza Assisted Living is holding a benefit concert to help raise awareness and donations for Hopelink's local foodbank. The concert will feature the wonderful musical group, Ancient Sounds, whose ethereal music will transport you to mystical places.
  • Pricing: Free. Please bring a non-perishable food donation to help those in need.

  • Where/When: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the in Woodinville.
  • Why Go: Visit the Columbia winery this Sunday for NonStop Clay’s 2011 Winter Holiday Ceramic Art Sale. The show will feature beautiful work of 34 regional ceramic artists spanning a range of styles and form. This is a great chance to meet the artists and find unique one of kind ceramics for holiday giving.
  • Pricing: Admission is free.

  • Where/When: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday at in Bellevue.
  • Why Go: Join Friends Philosophy and Tea this Saturday for their NW Psychic and Health Fair. The fair features experts in tarot, palm, medium, Reiki, healing stones, and more.
  • Pricing: Admission is free.

  • Where/When: 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at .
  • Why Go: Unwind with comedy this weekend by taking in an improv show at Second Story Repertory. The show on Friday evening is rated PG-13, whereas the next day's "Sinful Saturdays" performance will be for adults only. Whatever your preference, you'll be guaranteed a unique show that will incorporate audience suggestions into the action.
  • Pricing: Admission is $15.
