ART IS ME: An installation of works by VALA Volunteers - Free Reception

For 2014, VALA Eastside is launching “ART IS ME”, a full year of
art programming focused on building art appreciation in our community.

The idea behind our new theme “ART IS
ME”, is one of inclusion for all community members and our programs and
installations are intended to help us all become art enthusiasts. We invite the community to come to the VALA Art Center and
experience art in a new way, without judgment or intimidation. Art is
created for all to enjoy and we welcome everyone to join us in embracing the
notion “art is me”.

With the everyday operations of the art center being entirely run
by volunteers, we want to honor the versatility in all they do. To kick off
“ART IS ME”, we’re celebrating the efforts and the artwork of our hardworking
volunteers with a juried installation of over thirty works by these amazing local artists. On display January
8-February 27 at VALA Art Center location in Redmond Town Center.
