Native Plant Salvage Work Party

Eastside Audubon invites volunteers from the community to help us dig up and save the native plants currently growing at the old Group Health campus before redevelopment begins there.

Group Health has given permission for Eastside Audubon to dig up the plants for reuse later this winter on the Audubon BirdLoop at Marymoor Park, where we've been doing habitat redevelopment since 2006.

Please join us for a community work party on Saturday morning, December 1. We'll provide instruction plus coffee and snacks; you'll need only a shovel, sturdy shoes, gloves, and clothing layers for the weather.

To help us plan, please sign up in advance by contacting Tim McGruder: tmcgruder@gmail.com or (425) 822-8580.

Come on out and help us do the dirty work!

RASP is a wonderful group of writers from all walks of Redmond life. They hold an open mic on theRead More last Friday of every month at the Old Redmond Schoolhouse Community Center. Not only do they have featured readers like Kathleen, but the open mic portion encourages anyone from the community to read their work. It's regularly quite good. All those with a hunger to get their work out in the world should attend.
