Redmond Historical Society Monthly Meeting

History is happening in the Redmond area and we welcome you to our meeting.  The Redmond Historical Society will meet on Saturday, October 8, 2011, 10:30 a.m. to noon at The Old Redmond Schoolhouse Community Center, 16600 NE 80 Street, Redmond, WA.  Steve Bozick, President, and David Markley, Immediate Past President, will give a presentation of the Rotary Club of Redmond.  They will include a short overview of Rotary International and chronicle many of the key people involved in the formation and progression of its role in Redmond, the region, and the world.  Examples of Redmond Rotary’s contributions to people, facilities, and programs that have helped make Redmond a great place to live, work and play, will be presented.  Information about its activities, the changes in composition of its membership, and expansion within and around Redmond will also be highlighted.  Remember the quilt raffle in honor of Redmond’s Centennial celebration in 2012.  Tickets sell for $2 each.  To receive the monthly newsletter, contact the Society office at 425-885-2919, or email your request to info@redmondhistoricalsociety.org.   Books, note cards, free historic walking tour brochures, and the book, “Redmond Reflections,” are available in our office, which is open Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and by appointment.  Visit our website: www.redmondhistoricalsociety.org.
