Monthly Park Cleanup Program Returns this Saturday

The City of Redmond is partnering with Fonterra to sponsor seven work parties this spring, summer and fall.

The spirit of Earth Day will continue this Saturday, April 28, as the City of Redmond and Forterra (formerly the Cascade Land Conservancy) team up to sponsor a work party from 9 a.m. to noon at , 17300 NE 104th St.

Volunteers of all ages are invited to help remove invasive plants and add native trees and shrubs to the park. Participants who are younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult or bring a signed waiver.

Volunteers are asked to wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather. Tools, gloves and other materials will be provided.

This week's event is the first in a series of work parties planned throughout the spring, summer and fall on the last Saturday of each month. Here is a complete schedule:
