Our recent summertime weather took a turn Friday morning with widespread reports of thunder and rain.
But things are still looking good for , the annual summer festival taking place Friday, Saturday and Sunday in downtown Redmond.
The latest forecast from the National Weather Service (as of 10:30 a.m. Friday) calls for mostly sunny skies after early clouds today, with a high of 77 degrees.
On Saturday, there is a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms after 11 a.m., but otherwise the forecast calls for partly sunny skies with a high near 80. Sunday is expected to be mostly cloudy and reach a high around 72.
Not too hot, not too cool—so long as the rain holds off, it sounds like we're in for a great Derby Days weekend. Don't forget to swing by the Redmond Patch booth on Saturday to spin our prize wheel and pick up your free Patch swag!
