I Love to Smell Like an Ice Cream Sundae, How About You?

Here's the scoop on one of Redmond's best nail salons.

I may be kicking myself later by letting you in on Redmond’s best nail salon, but there are some places that absolutely have to be talked about. Ladies… It’s called . Yes, it is an actual place!

OK, I’m normally not a mani and pedi raving madwoman, but Oh… MY… Yes! Okay, I’m so addicted to this place and their signature Two Scoops Basic Manicure and Pedicure. Let’s not forget about their Ice Cream Pedicures. I would love to be sitting in their white leather recliner seats and be pampered by their full service staff daily. Yes, it’s that good.

I have to admit that I was very skeptical after doing my research on their business. After all, a place couldn’t be that good, could it? But Sweet Feet and its five star staff lived up to their reputation.

As I walked in the door with my daughter, we were greeted with a warm friendly smile and guided to their lush recliners. My daughter, being nervous about the whole idea, decided to remain in her stroller as her personal safety net; although she did in fact want her nails done, she was unsure of the by whom aspect. The staff was amazing with her. They took their time talking to her, and getting to know her, and literally after five minutes, she was getting a full manicure and pedicure and picking out her own nail colors.

While my daughter was bonding with her new friend, I was enjoying a delicious hand and foot soak with some lovely aromatics. I really loved the fact that they brought out a fresh tub for each person and our own pair of disposable slippers (and toe separators). A simple but lovely touch was the sliced lemons in my water. Lemon is a great way to detox and rejuvenate naturally, so I for one appreciated the gesture. It was definitely a sign of taste in my book.

They went to work proficiently and with ease, as my feet, ankles and calves were scrubbed with the most amazing sugar scrub followed by a foot and hand massage. Trust me, there is absolutely no wrong here…none whatsoever. Let’s talk about being pampered and relaxing in the same sentence for a moment, shall we?!

Normally, I’m used to pain and torture when it comes to working with cuticles, but I was pleasantly surprised that there was no torture whatsoever, and they didn’t mind my laughing during the foot filing and buffing. That’s a bonus! Laughter is always good for the soul right?

I was very sad when it was time to paint my nails, but I was immediately happy when I saw the choices I had to choose from. Can I just say, “Whoa”? Seriously, the possibilities are endless. Side note here: Choose your polish before you sit down. I literally did not want to get up after the massage goodness, but what can I say?

My daughter was in dreamland this whole time, talking to her nail stylist and working out color schematics of purple and sparkles as I was moved to a UV style nail dryer and a foot dryer that responds on contact. The best part, it only took a few minutes. Like many other people, I took the time while I was there to read their pricing and service guide, and the next thing you see me doing is being put into a separate room for a brow wax.

No pain here either folks. OK, yes the initial twinge and pull of the strip is enough to give anyone a yelp, but seriously that was it. The staff here is trained well, they know what they’re doing, and they take their time to not only communicate with you, but to make sure that you’re happy. Not many places care enough to take that extra step in customer service.

You’re going to find a new addiction here, ladies. Their prices are very reasonable, and this is a great place for young girls as well. Just ask my almost 3-year-old that insists on having her nails done like Barbie.
