McDonald's Book Exchange is About Variety, Not Just the Romance Section

McDonald's Book Exchange is unique in not only its exchange rates, but also on how it serves the community. Can three cans of food give you a book? Absolutely.

is one of my favorite bookstores. The reason is simply this, variety. I like to go in at least once a week to check in on some of my recent interests, which from a wallet standpoint is many and pricey if we were to go anywhere else. Simply put, their exchange rate is amazing, and frankly, you just can’t beat it. To find out more about their exchange rates, click here

Yes, of course I use the library, but at McDonald's I can find books that aren't currently listed in the library's card catalog. They have so many books that I wouldn’t expect to find here, as well as some of the popular titles that I enjoy finding here. They also have rare books that you wouldn't expect to find, so for the collector looking for those out-of-the-blue prints, call or stop in. They also have a resident Antiquarian that can appraise your rare beauties; make sure to call ahead for an appointment.

Are you looking for something specific and can’t find it? Don’t walk out the door without letting them know what you’re looking for. They will call you when they find it. Talk about top-notch service! How many places will do the work for you and take the time to call you when they have what you’re looking for that isn’t a small business? Not many…

Yes, the rumors are true: they have a romance section that all romantics at hearts will want to curl up with this winter with a warm fire and a soothing glass of wine. But, they also have every other kind of genre you can think of. From Metaphysical to Religion, from Gardening to Cooking, every enthusiast will find a piece of reading bliss to bring home with them.

They have also recently acquired more space. What can we look forward to? More Books! Meetings? Yes! Want to hold a gathering at McDonald’s Book Exchange? Now you can! Also, make sure to check their website monthly to see what special they’re brewing for the month.

Need a better reason to check them out? They support their community in so many ways. Feel free to bring in toiletries to go towards a good cause, and ask about what they’re doing this month. The needs are always changing, and they’re always listening. Bring in three cans for , and get a free book. Now that’s what I’m talking about…love, love, love!

P.S.: Next month, bring your little ones to McDonald's newest event, Children’s Story Time from 11 a.m. to noon on Dec. 10. Each child will have the opportunity to pick out a free book. Children’s Story Times will be held on every second Saturday of the month.

Man, I feel like you are my guide to Redmond. I've lived here for 8 years, and McDonald's is ... about 8 blocks away from me. And I've never been. I'll put an end to that today. Thanks for another great local recommendation.

McDonald's has been one of our favorite places to visit since moving here. Our kids are always happy to check out the current children's collection. It's a local gem for sure!
