Olive Boutique Brings a Unique Shopping Experience to Downtown Redmond

Is Olive Boutique really just about the clothes? Looking for last minute gift ideas? Men, follow the (HINT)s. Ladies let's talk!

is one of those places that you keep going back to just to hang out with the owners, and if you are a customer of Olive, you know what I’m talking about!

Kerrie Wilton and Michele Fox are an amazing team, who are not only some of the nicest people to grace Redmond with their presence, but also know what it takes to run a boutique catered to their clients. As most of you know from reading previous posts, I’m a curvy gal, but that will not stop me from checking out any boutique, even if it means I’m drooling over the clothes and telling my hips the shame on you gesture, which of course gets me nowhere, but sets me on a new mission of matching the style, except in my size range.

What does this mean to you? How about a boutique that not only inspires the casual chic lover with a variety of options but also caters to your specific tastes, designer consignment friendly, cost effective, and simply Chic-a-Licious (awesome). They carry Free People, Luii, Wildfox Couture, and Analili…just to name a few designers.

Olive is definitely more than just one of those clothing boutiques; they are very fashion privy. Want to know their secrets? Just ask! They are known for their customer service, listening to their customers, and best of all, they act on what they hear from you. Their mission statement is actually, well, you. Sounds simple doesn’t it? Trust me when I say that it’s not—there are a lot of us out there that love what they offer, and we all have our own unique styles, flairs and accessories of the month. They are busy in the background listening to us, researching designers, talking to designers, traveling to find just the right pieces, and working hard to make their cozy storefront as personable as possible. They do just that, the cozy at home atmosphere has a vintage bohemian flair that reminds you of home, combined with their love of fashion and what they do you have one intimate setting. No I’m not talking romance novels, guys and gals, what I’m talking about is one of those unique shopping experiences that leave you feeling good about what you’ve purchased and the time you spent there.

Even if you’re just window shopping, they encourage you to come in and get to know them, just as much as they want to get to know you. Kerrie and Michele take great pride in the fact that they are building a relationship with the people that come in, and we are more than just customers, we are a community. Isn’t it nice to find a place that treats you like a friend rather than a wallet? I definitely think so.

Another bonus about Olive: they care about being enivornmentally friendly at the same time. They carry eco-friendly clothing as well as skincare and nail wear. I’m in love at the moment, and it’s called Lollia Wish Sugared Pastille eau de parfum and shea butter handcreme (HINT). If you have a fondness for sugar cane with hints of vanilla bean and jasmine leaves, I think you’ll have found an amazing scent.

This is one of the few parfum and skincare lines that don’t make you smell like a bar of soap, but more like a delicate flower. For those husbands, boyfriends and amazing male friends in a rut for last-minute shopping needs, this is a great stocking stuffer! Don’t forget to check out the Lalicious Body Butter and Sugar Soufflés. They are absolutely amazing (HINT). As if you needed another incentive to go in, they do accept layaway with a general 20 percent down, a generous seven-day return policy for store credit, they accept all forms of payment, and gentlemen (HINT), they do have gift cards. Lastly (HINT), they carry The Original B Bag. I have a new friend, and it’s called genuine leather with a bonus charm.

When we think of community, these ladies are top notch at showing you what it’s all about. Are you or do you know of any local designers that are looking for a start in the business? If you are established or an aspiring designer for the Casual Chic, do me a favor, stop by Olive Boutique and bring in your portfolio. This boutique is a beacon for individuality and creativity. Do you have a favorite designer but have a hard time finding his or her clothing? Please feel free to ask them! Believe me now? I wasn’t lying when I said they were amazing!

I haven’t had the opportunity to get to know Michele that well, although when I was able to meet her with a fussy toddler, she was amazing! This dynamic duo are genuine, the real deal. I look forward to getting to know this trendy pair in the future. Keep informed by liking them on Facebook—they are due to have a Grand Opening Ceremony in January and I’ve heard that they just may have a sneak peak at What’s Hot for Spring 2012. I know I’m there! If you don’t have time to check out their store in downtown Redmond, please check them out online! Want to sport Halle Berry’s Wildfox Vampire Love BBJ Top in White? All it takes is a click!
