Overlake Squadron is the largest CAP unit in Washington State and was named the 'Outstanding Unit' in 2011.
Cadets take aerospace education classes and can start flying gliders at age 14; several of our cadets have flown solo before they learned to drive a car.
The Civil Air Patrol was formed in 1941 and has over 60,000 members across the country in 1500 squadrons and is the official auxiliary of the USAF.
The cadet program is open to youth aged 12-17.
