Memorial Service Thursday for Bellevue Mom Killed in Seattle Shootings

Gloria Koch Leonidas was among the victims of a Seattle shooting spree that took the lives of five victims and ended with the death of the gunman last week.

Gloria Koch Leonidas, the Bellevue mom who died Wednesday during a Seattle shooting spree, will be remembered in a memorial service this Thursday.

The service will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Demetrios Church, 2100 Boyer Ave. E in Seattle. A graveside service will follow the service at Bellevue's .

Leonidas was a mother of two daughters and active with the EvergreenHealth Foundation, which raises money for Evergreen Healthcare in Kirkland, and with the Illuminating Engineering Society of Puget Sound, an association of lighting professionals.

She was an innocent victim when neighborhood around 11:30 a.m. last Wednesday. Stawicki had just shot five people at the Cafe Racer coffee shop in Seattle's Ravenna neighborhood less than an hour beforehand.

when Stawicki attacked her, but he managed to shoot her and steal her Mercedes SUV. He later dumped the SUV in West Seattle, where he shot himself after police confronted him.
