Battle of the Bands to Benefit Fire Department Benevolent Funds

The is one of several local fire departments that will co-host Fire in the Grass, a battle of the bands concert at in Woodinville organized by area firefighters benevolent fund groups.

Proceeds from the Aug. 28 event will go to Musclar Dystrophy Association, Ryan's Solution, firefighters benevolent funds in Bellevue, Woodinville, Redmond, Kirkland, Bothell, Eastside, and Mercer Island as well as the Bellevue Honor Guard.

The concert is from noon to 9 p.m.; the entry donation is $10. Redhook is donating the use of its Grassy Bowl, and a percentage of all food and beverage sales at the concert will go to the charities, according to Liz Downs, one of the event coordinators.

The band lineup is:

12:30 p.m. - The Maltby Crew
2 p.m. - Three Trick Pony 
4 p.m. - Bald Mountain Blue Grass
5 p.m. - Eclectic Approach 
6 p.m. Bellevue Honor Guard and Eastside Fire Pipes and Drums
6:30 p.m. - Austin Jenckes 
8 p.m. - Velcro Mindset
