A Bellevue musician who performs children's music faces accusations of child molestation, after prosecutors say that he inappropriately touched two girls, aged 12 and 9, according to local news reports.

According to Q13, prosecutors say that Darby Gerking told police that he touched the girls when he thought they were asleep.

The Seattle Times reports that the incidents occurred between 2008 and 2010.

The King County Jail reports that Gerking is out of jail, after paying $150,000 bail in the two cases.

Gerking performs under "Mr. Darby's Music with Friends," according to his website. He says on his website that he's been performing since 1998 and he visits "12 schools and child care centers throughout the Seattle area each week singing, playing and entertaining children ages one to twelve years."

He has released two CDs of children's songs. Photos on his website show him performing at various venues, including the Crossroads Farmers Market, the Bite of Crossroads, the Buds and Blooms Festival in Federal Way and Lincoln Park in West Seattle.

"I am lucky to be in the presence of children and see the looks of wonder, the knowing smiles, the spontaneous outbreaks of dancing and to hear the peals of laughter," Gerking wrote on his bio on his website.
