A former Microsoft program manager is charged with second-degree rape, accused of sexually assaulting a janitor in his office on the Redmond campus last month, according to media reports.

According to King County prosecutors, Vineet Kumar Srivastava, 36, raped a cleaning worker after luring her into his office on July 22, seattlepi.com reported Monday night. Srivastava reportedly told police that the woman forced him to have sex.

Srivastava approached the woman, who was cleaning at 11 p.m. in building 27, and she went to his office, believing it needed cleaning. He opened her blouse, forced her to view pornography on his cell phone, then raped her, according to court documents cited by KIRO 7.
