Love Triangle Situation Ends with Brandished Gun - Redmond Police Blotter

The following incidents were reported from 6 a.m. Monday, May 20 to 6 a.m. Thursday, May 23.

From Redmond police:

May 20

11:28 p.m., 159xx block of NE 85 ST: Redmond Police responded to a report of a stolen cell phone.

2:56 p.m., 151xx block of NE 81 WY: Redmond Police investigated a reported vandalism to a vehicle.

9:44 a.m., 87xx block of 160 AVE NE: A known subject made threats towards city employees. An investigation is pending.

May 21

12:20 p.m., NE 85 ST & 158 AVE NE: An employee of a local construction site contacted police to report an unknown suspect had stolen his backpack. An investigation is pending.

May 22

6:53 p.m., 115xx block of 133 AVE NE: Redmond Police responded to a reported brandishing of a handgun. Police officials say it was a “triangle of love” situation. A woman was at home with a male friend when the ex-boyfriend showed up at the house adamant that he wanted to get in and talk to or fight the other male. He threatened the male inside the house saying he would damage the man’s truck, at some point left the property, and then came back a few minutes later and began yelling at the male that he wanted to fight. The male at the house at some point took a gun out and told the ex to leave and that he would use the gun to defend himself if he was attacked. The ex left.

3:11 p.m., 94xx block of WILLOWS RD: A woman's vehicle was prowled while she was at work.

1:05 p.m., 172xx block of NE 104 ST: Redmond Police investigated a theft that occurred at a school.

11:26 a.m., 160xx block of NE 36 WY: Redmond Police investigated the report of a stolen vehicle.

8:57 a.m., 123xx block of RED-WOOD RD: Police responded to a report of suspicious circumstances at a church.
