Redmond Firefighters to Collect Toys, Food for Hopelink

Members of the local firefighters' union will be traveling throughout Redmond this holiday season to collect donations for families and individuals in need.

Members of the Redmond Firefighters' Union, IAFF Local 2829, will be spreading holiday cheer in the coming weeks as they travel throughout Redmond to collect toys, food and cash donations for .

The volunteers will travel with Santa Claus in an antique fire truck from neighborhood to neighborhood beginning Dec. 4. A complete schedule is listed below.

The firefighters do not knock on doors but instead blare festive music and use sirens to let residents know they're in the neighborhood. If you would like to donate, you can meet the truck along your street when it passes through.

The volunteers will be collecting unwrapped toys and non-perishable food, in addition to cash donations. The union will match any cash donations up to $500.
