Update: Redmond Man, 4-Year-Old Son, Stable After Suspected Drug Overdose

Update 3:55 p.m., Sept. 24: The Redmond Police Department reports that a 37-year-old Redmond man and his 4-year-old son, who were taken to the hospital today due to a suspected drug overdose, are both currently listed as stable and sedated.

The on scene investigation is continuing.

A 37-year-old Redmond man and his 4-year-old son have been taken to area hospitals for a suspected drug overdose, Redmond Police say.

Redmond police and fire personnel responded to the 14100 block of NE 72nd St. at 11:45 this morning, Sept. 24 after receiving a 911 call from the four year old’s mother who had come home to find her husband and son breathing but unconscious. 

Police officials said drug paraphernalia was located at the scene, indicating that both father and son had been injected with suspected heroin. As of 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, the condition of both remains unknown.

Redmond police detectives are on the scene and conducting an investigation into the incident.
