Redmond Police Blotter: Man Alleges Assault During Indoor Soccer Game

The following incidents were reported between 6 a.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.

Redmond Police are investigating an alleged assault stemming from an indoor soccer game at Arena Sports on Tuesday evening.

Department spokesman Jim Bove said the alleged victim reported that the incident began when he ran into a female player and received a foul. Shortly after the call was made, the man told police, a male player from the opposing team "proceeded to wrap his arms around him and tried tackling him."

Both players were ejected from the game, and the alleged victim said he called police later in the night because his back was still hurting. The case remains under investigation.
