Redmond Police Blotter: Man Assaults Teen at Skate Park

The following incidents were reported between 6 a.m. Wednesday and 6 a.m. Thursday.

A 14-year-old Redmond boy had stitches above his right eye after a man in his early 20s allegedly hit him with a scooter at the Edge Skate Park on Wednesday evening.

Redmond Police spokesman Jim Bove said officers were called to the park at around 6:40 p.m. A group of juveniles were involved in some sort of minor altercation, Bove said, when an adult randomly came up to the group and attacked one of the boys.

“All of sudden, some adult, who nobody in the altercation really knew, came up and pushed one of the kids and then hit him with a scooter, requiring him to get stitches in his eye,” Bove said, adding that the boy's only injury was the cut.
