Redmond Police Blotter: Resident Falls Victim to Facebook Scam

The following incidents were reported between 6 a.m. Wednesday and 6 a.m. Thursday.

7:13 a.m., 17200 block of NE 45th St.: Police took a car prowl report.

11:19 a.m., 15300 block of Redmond Way: Police took a report of a stolen bike.

11:26 a.m., 16400 block of NE 91st St.: Officers received a report of a missing female with diminished mental capacity. She was later discovered at the home of a friend.

11:50 a.m., 9000 block of Avondale Road: A resident reported receiving a message while on a social media website. Believing it was a friend in need, the resident wired almost $1,000. The friend later stated her account was hacked and she never requested money.

5:50 p.m., 3400 block of 181st Place NE: Redmond Police investigated a fraud complaint.
