Redmond Police Blotter: Shots Fired in Grass Lawn, Assault at Grocery Store

The following incidents were reported between 6 a.m. Thursday and 6 a.m. Friday.

Thursday, Feb. 23

5:26 p.m., 15700 block of NE 51st St.: Redmond Police investigated the theft a boat and trailer.

9:08 p.m., 14700 block of NE 76th St.: Redmond police responded to a residential neighborhood to investigate the sounds of shots being fired. Seven .40 caliber bullet casings were found in the street. No suspects were seen or identified. The bullet casings were collected and have been submitted for fingerprint analysis.

10:09 p.m., Redmond Way: A 32-year-old Kirkland man was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

Friday, Feb. 24

1:27 a.m., 17200 block of Redmond Way: Redmond Police investigated a shoplifting at a local grocery store. A 28-year-old Sammamish woman allegedly assaulted a clerk while attempting to flee and was apprehended by a K-9 unit. A 28-year-old Redmond man was arrested on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia.
