Redmond Police Participate in Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run

Ten officers helped carry the torch through Redmond this morning as it headed to Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

Ten members of the , including Chief Ron Gibson, participated in the Special Olympics Washington's Law Enforcement Torch Run by helping to carry the torch through Redmond Friday morning.

The torch run began in Spokane and will finish later today at Joint Base Lewis McChord for this weekend's Special Olympics games. 

More than 2,500 athletes will participate in this weekend's competition, according to northwestmilitary.com.
