Third Man Indicted in 'Wardriving' Case

Suspects allegedly targeted businesses in Redmond and around the Eastside to access computer information and commit fraud.

A 36-year-old Seattle man whose car was seized earlier this year in a federal investigation of "wardriving" has been added to an indictment of two other Seattle men accused of accessing computers of local businesses in order to commit fraud, the Capitol Hill Seattle blog reports.

John Griffin was added to the indictment of Brad Lowe, 36, and Josh Witt, 34, who previoiusly were charged with nine counts of burglary in alleged break-ins targeting computer hardware containing names and information of employees and customers.

Patch . In the indictment, the three suspects are accused of using emergency access keys to break into businesses in Kirkland, Redmond, Woodinville and Bellevue to steal servers and computers. They allegedly took the keys from so-called "Knox boxes" at the businesses, designed to give local emergency personnel access after business hours.
