Weekend Police Blotter: Man Brandishes Gun During Soccer Game at Hartman Park

The following incidents were reported between 6 a.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Monday.

are investigating an incident at where an unknown man allegedly brandished a handgun during a soccer game on Sunday afternoon.

Police spokesman Jim Bove said the altercation happened at around 12:20 p.m. during a game between two teams of adults.

"It was a physical match, and at some point one of the players allegedly went over to the sideline and pulled a gun from his bag and proceeded to point it at two of the opponents," Bove said in an email.

Bove said the suspect took off running after someone was instructed to call police. 

"When initially questioned, ironically enough, none of his teammates knew the guy," Bove said. "It is still under investigation."

9:21 a.m., 8200 block of 134th Ave. NE: A Redmond couple reported someone is stealing their mail because they have not received all their monthly bills from various companies.

12:10 p.m., 13600 block of NE 84th Court: A Redmond man reported that he is a victim of identity theft.

1:05 p.m., 160th Avenue NE and Redmond Way: Police responded to a domestic dispute.

3:32 p.m., 17600 block of Union Hill Road: A male subject stole a pair of shoes from a local department store and fled on foot.

5:45 p.m., 7600 block of 139th Place NE: A bag containing clothes and a cell phone were taken from a local pool.

11:22 p.m., 14600 block of NE 64th St.: Redmond Police responded to a reported theft of jewelry. 

Saturday, Aug. 18

6:01 a.m., 16900 block of NE 100th St.: A vehicle parked in a driveway was spray painted.

7:52 a.m., 18800 block of NE 68th St.: The spare tire to a vehicle was stolen during the night.

10:29 a.m., 6500 block of 154th Ave. NE: Redmond Police responded to a verbal domestic dispute at a local residence.

1:14 p.m., 16100 block of NE 93rd Way: Redmond Police investigated a report of theft at a local residence. The victim's credit and debit cards were taken and fraudulent transactions were posted to the accounts.

4:24 p.m., 17800 block of Redmond Way: Redmond Police are investigating a theft. The suspect was caught on camera.

Sunday, Aug. 19

2:50 a.m., 7500 block of Old Redmond Road: Redmond Police arrested a 45-year-old Redmond woman for allegedly assaulting her boyfriend and damaging his property.

10:23 a.m., 4800 block of 156th Ave. NE: Apartment complex secure primary mailbox collection station vandalized.

12:19 p.m., 17200 block of NE 104th St.: Redmond Police were dispatched to a report of a handgun being brandished at Hartman Park. It was determined that a fight broke out on the soccer field between two teams. The suspect brandished a handgun and threatened two team members from the opposing team. He fled in a red Mustang out of the area. An investigation has been initiated into the identity of the suspect.

2:25 p.m., 19500 block of Redmond Road: Redmond PD responded to a motor vehicle prowl at Ferrel McWhirter Park. Purse taken and card used at Fred Meyer.

4:30 p.m., 14600 block of NE 65th Court: Police investigated a possible threat.

8:04 p.m., 164th block of NE 74th St.: A 29-year-old Redmond woman was arrested on suspicion of theft.
