are investigating an incident at where an unknown man allegedly brandished a handgun during a soccer game on Sunday afternoon.
Police spokesman Jim Bove said the altercation happened at around 12:20 p.m. during a game between two teams of adults.
"It was a physical match, and at some point one of the players allegedly went over to the sideline and pulled a gun from his bag and proceeded to point it at two of the opponents," Bove said in an email.
Bove said the suspect took off running after someone was instructed to call police.
"When initially questioned, ironically enough, none of his teammates knew the guy," Bove said. "It is still under investigation."
