Weekend Police Blotter: Sept. 2-5

The following incidents were reported between 6 a.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Tuesday.

Friday, Sept. 2

9:41 a.m., 5200 block of 155th Ave. NE: Complainant reported an abandoned vehicle was parked on the street near his residence last week. A records check listed the vehicle as stolen, and it was recovered and towed back to Redmond Police for processing.

10:44 a.m., 14800 block of Old Redmond Road: Campaign signs were stolen from center medians and the sides of roads.

11:32 a.m., 8200 block of Avondale Way: A theft was reported in the Education Hill area.

3:01 p.m., Bear Creek Parkway and Leary Way: Redmond Police investigated a theft of copper wire from a construction site. A suspect was identified by a witness.

5:44 p.m., Redmond Way: Police responded to a hit-and-run in the downtown area.

6:52 p.m., 17600 block of NE 76th St.: Redmond Police responded to a vehicle prowl in which a laptop was stolen.

Saturday, Sept. 3

2:54 a.m., 15000 block of Redmond Way: A subject was contacted slumped over in a vehicle. He was transported to a hospital for further evaluation and will be cited for minor in consumption.

1:17 p.m., 7900 block of 170th Ave. NE: Police arrested a Redmond man on suspicion of fourth-degree assault.

6:11 p.m., 21700 block of Novelty Hill Road: Redmond Police took a report of a vehicle prowl. The driver's side window was smashed, and two backpacks were taken from the vehicle.

Sunday, Sept. 4

12:15 a.m., 17200 block of NE 86th Place: A Redmond resident reported a tenant had stolen his or her belongings. Investigation is ongoing.

12:16 a.m., Westbound 520 and 148th Avenue NE: A Bellevue man was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

2:09 a.m., 16000 block of Redmond Way: A Kirkland woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

11:47 a.m., 3400 block of W Lake Sammamish Parkway: A forced-entry burglary was reported in the Overlake area.

1:08 p.m., Redmond Way: A Seattle man was arrested and later charged with hit-and-run/ DUI and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

2:16 p.m., 13300 block of NE 89th St.: Redmond Police responded to a burglary at a local residence in which a purse was taken from the garage.

4:22 p.m., 2500 block of 152nd Ave. NE: Redmond Police arrested a Redmond woman on suspicion of domestic violence.

6:59 p.m., 8300 block of 164th Ave. NE: Redmond Police investigated a report of an attempted burglary at a local business. The suspect(s) attempted to gain entry through a window using a rock.

Monday, Sept. 5

1:47 a.m., 13700 block of NE 65th St.: A female was contacted during a report of a domestic violence situation. She was found to be in violation of her parole restrictions of alcohol consumption; the case was forwarded to her parole officer.

9:34 a.m., 7400 block of 164th Ave. NE: A vehicle was prowled while parked at a hotel garage.

12:55 p.m., 9200 block of Redmond-Woodinville Road: Victim reported her vehicle was taken without permission by a cousin. Investigation ongoing.

6:13 p.m., 7300 block of 164th Ave. NE: Redmond Police investigated the report of a counterfeit twenty dollar bill at a local specialty store.

11:48 p.m., 5100 block of W Lake Sammamish Parkway: Redmond Police arrested the driver of a vehicle on suspicion of possession of MDMA, possession of marijuana less than forty grams and possession of drug paraphernalia.
