Weekend Police Blotter: Suspect Caught on Video Stealing 'Cart Load of Items' From Grocery Store

The following incidents were reported between 6 a.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Monday.

Friday, Oct. 5

6:38 a.m., 17500 block of NE 33rd St.: Police investigated a report of a car prowl.

7:07 a.m., 17200 block of Redmond Way: A male suspect stole a cart load of items from a grocery store. The incident was captured on video surveillance.

12:01 p.m., 17700 block of NE 76th St.: The tires to a vehicle were slashed.

7:14 p.m., 2200 block of 148th Ave. NE: Redmond Police arrested a local resident for theft and an outstanding warrant.

Saturday, Oct. 6

1:33 a.m., 2400 block of 173rd Place NE: Redmond Police investigated an armed robbery in a residential neighborhood. Two male suspects took jewelry, cash and a cell phone from a husband and wife in front of their residence. The two suspects each pointed a handgun at the victims. The investigation is ongoing. 7:04 a.m., 18300 block of Redmond Way: Redmond Police responded to a reported theft at a local business.

8:24 a.m., 8800 block of 132nd Place NE: Redmond Police responded to a local residence in reference to a burglary. There was no evidence that a burglary had been committed.

11:26 a.m., 18000 block of NE 76th St.: Ninety-one pounds of unused medications were turned into Redmond Police by citizens for destruction as part of the City of Redmond fall recycling event. The medications will be destroyed by the DEA.

6:11 a.m., 2400 block of 173rd Place NE: Redmond Police responded to a report of a suspicious fire that took place earlier in the day in the resident's yard. Foul play is not suspected.

7:42 p.m., 17700 block of NE 76th St.: Redmond Police investigated a report of shoplifting.

10:31 p.m., 9000 block of 164th Ave. NE: Police arrested a 30-year-old Burien woman on suspicion of DUI.

Sunday, Oct. 7

10:16 a.m., 17000 block of Avondale Way: Redmond Police investigated a suspicious circumstance.

12:18 p.m., 7300 block of Old Redmond Road: Redmond Police contacted a local female regarding a stolen knife.

4:07 p.m., 15800 block of NE 90th St.: Redmond Police responded to a report of a stolen bicycle that occurred overnight.

4:58 p.m., 2200 block of 148th Ave. NE: A 22-year-old Kent man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting.

5:24 p.m., 15300 block of Redmond Way: Redmond Police responded to a report of a bike theft from a local residence.
