Weekend Police Blotter: Thieves Steal, Smash Pumpkins in Education Hill

The following incidents were reported between 6 a.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Monday.

Friday, Oct. 19

9:54 a.m., 7500 block of 164th Ave. NE: Redmond Police responded to a reported auto theft that occurred at a local hotel.

4:10 p.m., 16700 block of NE 91st St.: Redmond Police investigated the report of an attempted burglary.

6:19 p.m., 17200 block of Redmond Way: Redmond Police investigated the theft of alcohol from a grocery store. Multiple suspects fled the area prior to Police arrival.

10:37 p.m., 18000 block of Union Hill Road: A UPS worker's vehicle window was broken while he was working.

Saturday, Oct. 20

10:17 a.m., 17100 block of NE 88th St.: Redmond Police responded to a local residence in reference to some stolen pumpkins.

10:49 a.m., 10600 block of 164th Ave. NE: Redmond Police responded to a local residence in reference to some stolen and smashed pumpkins.

5:33 p.m., 10400 block of Avondale Road: A suspended driver was also found to be in possession of marijuana and was charged.

5:34 p.m., 8200 block of Avondale Way: Redmond Police investigated a robbery with a firearm. The victim had money stolen at gun point. (Editor's note: Click here for full story.)

8:20 p.m., 16500 block of NE 74th St.: Redmond Police investigated a shoplift. The suspects ran off with store merchandise.

Sunday, Oct. 21

12:47 p.m., 19500 block of Redmond Road: Redmond Police responded to a local park in reference to a vehicle prowl. Among the itmes taken were a purse. The investigation is still active. 

Monday, Oct. 22

1:25 a.m., Novelty Hill and Avondale roads: Redmond Police conducted a traffic stop. The driver, a 21-year-old Woodinville man, was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana, less than 40 grams.
