Updated: Crash Involving Semi Closed Willows Road in Redmond Monday

Willows Road is back open after a collision between a semi-truck and a car Monday morning.

Update 2:45 p.m. Redmond police said both lanes of Willows Road are back open.

Update 11:20 a.m. from Redmond police: 

Willows Road is now closed only between the 8200 block and Redmond Way which is just a short stretch. Car driver taken to Harborview, front passenger transported to Evergreen for precautionary measures, and three in the backseat who were not injured. Driver of the truck was not injured.

A semi-truck and car collided in the 7900 block of Willows Road in Redmond shortly before 10 a.m. this morning, according to a news release from Redmond Police.

Willows Road is currently closed in both directions and likely will be for the next few hours between Redmond Way and 148th Ave NE, police said.

The driver of the car was taken to Harborview with serious injuries. Other occupants of the vehicles were taken to Evergreen for precautionary matters.

The collision is currently being investigated by the Redmond Police Traffic Unit.
