DelBene to Visit Redmond Manufacturer to Discuss Job Creation

Congresswoman Suzan DelBene will visit with a Redmond manufacturer, to learn about innovative manufacturing practices and hear input on policies to boost local business environment.

As part of her focus on innovation and technology in the 1st Congressional District, Congresswoman Suzan DelBene will visit local manufacturer B.E. Meyers on Monday. DelBene will see B.E. Meyers’ advanced manufacturing practices and some of their cutting edge optics products and technology. As a local company employing more than 180 people, B.E. Meyers staff will share with the Congresswoman their needs to continue to grow, expand and innovate.

Part of a longer tour throughout the district, DelBene will be making a number of visits at local employers, research facilities and schools focusing on ways to encourage long-term economic growth and create jobs through the innovation and technology.

Meyers officials will also discuss the needs for additional STEM investments to build a skilled workforce and other federal policy to help local manufacturing.
