Eastside Emergency Preparedness Forum Set for Thursday in Kirkland

Local emergency management and transportation experts will be on hand to help you prepare for winter weather and disasters.

An emergency preparedness forum to help people prepare for winter weather and disasters will be conducted by local government and social service agencies Thursday at the  in Kirkland.

The East King County Community Preparedness Forum begins at 12:45 p.m. in the downtown center, 352 Kirkland Ave. It is sponsored by the Eastside Easy Rider Collaborative, an effort by the cities of Kirkland, Redmond and Bellevue, King County Metro, Sound Transit,  and other agencies.

Local emergency management and transportation representatives will answer questions and provide tips and advice on how to get around during emergencies and how you and your family can prepare.
