Good to Go: Round 2

WSDOT representatives will sell toll passes Sunday at the Redmond Regional Library.

Representatives from the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) will be at the from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday to sell Good to Go passes.

Good to Go passes are electronic tags that drivers can use to pay for on the Highway 520 bridge. Tolling is expected to begin sometime in April, said Janet Matkin, WSDOT toll communications manager.

Sunday's event will be the second time WSDOT representatives have come to Redmond to sell the passes. But at the first event on Feb. 14 web connection issues made it impossible to distribute any passes, Matkin said.

“We’ve addressed those (issues) and hope that we won’t have that problem again,” she said.

Drivers who want to buy a Good to Go pass may choose between a $5 windshield sticker and an $8 Velcro pass that can be switched between vehicles. Matkin said both kinds of passes should be available Sunday, and passes for motorcycles and those who use the carpool lanes on Highway 167 are also sold online.
