List: Redmond Library Was State's Fourth-Busiest in 2011

A ranking of the top 30 libraries by circulation was recently compiled by The Washington List Guy.

The Redmond Regional Library was the state's fourth-busiest in 2011, beating out branches in bigger cities like Kent, Kirkland and Vancouver.

A list of Washington's 30 busiest libraries by circulation volume was recently compiled by The Washington List Guy, aka Steve Campion. Campion said he gathered statistics on the number of items checked out at 349 libraries around the state to come up with the ranking, which put the Redmond library in the No. 4 position with a circulation of 1.43 million items.

Campion also noted that the entire King County Library System, named the country's busiest library system in 2010, circulated close to 21.8 million items last year. It was followed up by the Seattle's library system, which checked out "only" 11.6 million items.
