Neighborhood Network Comes To Grass Lawn and Willows/Rose Hill

New meetings are part of a city effort to get residents more involved in the planning process.

Grass Lawn and Willows/Rose Hill residents will have the opportunity to talk with city officials at a neighborhood planning meeting, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Monday at .

At the meeting, residents can learn about upcoming projects, including new restroom facilities at , as well offer their input and suggestions on the current neighborhood plan for both Grass Lawn and Willows/Rose Hill.

The annual meeting is part of the city's Neighborhood Network, a program that aims to involve residents and neighborhoods in the planning process. Tonight's gathering will be Grass Lawn and Willows/Rose Hill's first official yearly meeting; the idea was piloted last year in Grass Lawn and Education Hill.

Kimberly Dietz, a senior planner for the city of Redmond, said the main purpose of the meetings is to establish better communication between residents and city officials.

“It’s an annual check in with neighbors,” she said.

Dietz said feedback from the meetings will be implemented into neighborhood plan refinements, which take place every six years. The neighborhood plans also go through a more robust update every 12 years, she said.
