Redmond Bus Routes Affected by Metro Changes

Two Redmond routes will undergo changes beginning this Saturday.

A series of changes to King County Metro service will affect two Redmond bus routes beginning Saturday.

Route 251, which runs along Avondale Road and Redmond-Woodinville Road, will be eliminated and replaced by Route 931, a Dial-A-Ride Transit (DART) route.

The route will include regular service every half hour during weekday peak times and every hour on Saturdays. Ride reservations can also be made at least two hours in advance by calling 1-866-261-DART. Click here to see more Route 931 information on Metro's website.

Also beginning Saturday, Route 221 will move from along Redmond Way to a new route along West Sammamish Parkway, Leary Way, Bear Creek Parkway and 161st Avenue Northeast. Officials behind R-TRIP, the City of Redmond's transportation incentive program, wrote in a blog post that the change will bring frequent, all-day connection between downtown and the Education Hill, Grass Lawn and Overlake neighborhoods.
