Update: Redmond-Woodinville Road Reopened

Update, 1:30 pm.: Redmond-Woodinville Road is re-opened after a morning of headaches, Redmond Fire Department officials confirmed. Redmond Fire Acting Battalion Chief Steve Anderson said a gas leak on Redwood was reported to PSE by a local construction crew earlier today, after they inadvertently severed a natural gas line. PSE alerted 911, which dispatched fire crews.

Crews were preparing to flag through a Metro bus, who's driver decided to turn around in the meantime, getting stuck in a ditch. Local crews checked on the safety of Tent City 4 residents, stationed currently at Redmond Family Church.

"We took all precautions," Anderson said, noting that the call was monitored by Lt. Mike Titus.

Redmond fire officials confirmed at 12:25 p.m. that the road has been re-opened after a closure due to a gas leak.

However, a Metro bus is still stuck at the location on Redmond Woodinville Road, between 109 and 116th. Waiting for a tow to help the bus, the Redmond Police Department says.
