Residents Invited to Take Part in 'Redmond Ready Day'

The day-long event will kick off a new city-sponsored emergency preparedness program.

The City of Redmond will kick off a new emergency preparedness initiative called "Redmond Ready" at a day-long event on Sept. 15 at  9900 Willows Road NE.

The event runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will feature a free two-hour personal preparedness class as well as training in first aid and CPR, which will be offered at a discounted rate of $14.

"Redmond Ready" is a new emergency preparedness campaign that will include additional two-hour classes offered for free through the end of the year. September is National Preparedness Month.

We just received word from the Redmond PD that registration is now available online through the city's website. To sign up, visit www.redmond.gov/register and register for course #42572.
