Residents Invited to Take Part in 'Redmond Ready Day'

The day-long event will kick off a new city-sponsored emergency preparedness program.

The City of Redmond will kick off a new emergency preparedness initiative called "Redmond Ready" at a day-long event on Sept. 15 at  9900 Willows Road NE.

The event runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will feature a free two-hour personal preparedness class as well as training in first aid and CPR, which will be offered at a discounted rate of $14.

"Redmond Ready" is a new emergency preparedness campaign that will include additional two-hour classes offered for free through the end of the year. September is National Preparedness Month.
