Redmond Family Attends Presidential Inauguration

After a Ticketmaster snafu, a Redmond family has gotten tickets to the official inaugural ball and other events.

After a Ticketmaster snafu, a Redmond family has gotten tickets to the official inaugural ball and other events, according to a post by Sharon Ilstrup on Facebook.

Tickets went on sale a day before they were supposed to and Ilstrup was upset when she was unable to get them on the day that had been promoted, according to a KING 5 News report.

Washington Sen. Patty Murray reportedly heard about the mixup and arranged for the Ilstrup family to attend the festivities. Ilstrup posted the following with a photo on Facebook Sunday:

And here we are at Senator Patty Murray's office getting our official inaugural ball tickets!!!!

Ilstrup posted on Facebook early Monday morning that she didn't sleep at all and that they planned to get up at 5 a.m. to head to The National Mall. "Sure hope i can get a nap in before the ball!!," she wrote.

On Monday, Jan. 21, President Barack Obama was sworn in for his second term as president.

Viewers of the Presidential Inauguration saw all the pomp and circumstance they could want, including a ceremonial swearing in, inaugural address, parade and national anthem sung by Beyonce.
