Veterans Day Holiday: What's Open and What's Closed

Many government offices are closed Nov. 12.

Veteran's Day is Nov. 11, which falls on a Sunday this year. However, many, but not all, government offices will observe it on Monday, Nov. 12. Here is a list of what’s open and what's closed.

Redmond City Hall is closed Monday.

Lake Washington School District: Closed Monday, classes will resume Nov. 13.

King County government: Closed. King County Elections will continue to count ballots.

King County Library System is closed Sunday for the holiday, but will be open Monday.

King County Metro: Reduced weekday schedule.

King County Transfer Stations (Garbage): Open.

Sound Transit: Regular weekday Schedule.

State of Washington: Closed.

Federal government (including the U.S. Postal Service): Closed

Banks: Many, if not most, will be closed. Check your local branch.

Express delivery companiesFedEx and UPS will be open.

Allied Waste: Regular recycling and garbage service in Bellevue.
