The Associated Press reports that Paul Ryan, who is the Republican vice presidential nominee, is scheduled to be in Bellevue for a private fundraiser on Sept. 10.

Washington State Republican Party chairman Kirby Wilbur told the AP that details are still being arranged.

Romney and President Barack Obama have visited the Eastside several times for fundraising visits, though Obama has a double-digit lead in the polls for this state's electoral college votes, and the state is not considered to be competitive in the presidential election, according to poll gathering site Real Clear Politics.

Will he bring the truth? Doubt it.

I hope he covers the same topics he did at the Republican Convention last week. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwI05x5rmqI I'm a little surprised that they are investing time and money in our state. I think that this state has demonstrated that, unlike several others, we vote Democrat regardless of job performance or results. Frankly, I can't even imagine anything they could say or do to change enough minds here to make a difference in the state. I'm sure that Democrats take great joy in that, but from my Independent perspective it means that we won't change course even if we are headed over a cliff.

No time and money are being invested in our state by Romney/Ryan... they are coming here to collect money, not spend it. They are only attending fundraisers, and apparently it was a very lucrative fundraising event.
