2014 Redmond Firefighters Union Community Scholarship Applications Available, Deadline March 1st, 2014

High school seniors who live or attend school within the City of Redmond and King County Fire District 34 borders qualify for the 2014 Redmond Firefighters Union Community Scholarship.

The Redmond Firefighters Union, IAFF Local #2829, is offering a $1,000.00 scholarship to the “Redmond Community.”  Each applicant must be applying as a full-time student into an accredited school, vocational or technical program.

The scholarship will be awarded to the deserving individual who completes the application, essay and is judged to reflect the Redmond Firefighters Union values.

High school seniors who live or attend school within the City of Redmond and King County Fire District 34 borders qualify for the scholarship. This includes Redmond High School, Bear Creek and Overlake Schools, Home Schooled and GED students who are less than 20 years old.

Applications have been emailed to Redmond area High Schools. Check your school's website or counseling office.

Applications and attachments must be postmarked no later than March 1, 2014.
