Art by Redmond High School Students to be Shown at Cascadia College

The show 'Keys to the Studio' opens April 9 and features work by students from several local high school and the Lake Washington Institute of Technology.

An art show celebrating the creativity of Redmond and other local high school students—portraying angst, hope, anger, joy and pain—will open April 9 at Bothell’s Cascadia Community College.

“Keys to the Studio” is a juried show curated by Cascadia faculty member Chris Gildow and runs through April 27 at the school’s Mobius Hall Art Gallery (Global Learning and the Arts Building CC3).

It features work by  and students from Kirkland’s , Juanita, Lake Washington, Bothell, Inglemoor high schools, and others.

“Like any artist, these students struggle to give visual expression to their ideas,” Gildow said in a news release. “This show honors the work of teenagers and young adults, and recognizes the contributions they make to the collective voice of art.”

A reception for the show, open to the public, begins at 5:30 p.m. Monday, April 9. Gallery hours are Monday-Thursday, April 10-27 from 1:15 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Cascadia is at 18345 Campus Way NE in Bothell. For directions, click here.
