DigiPen Institute of Technology in Redmond to Host Audio Symposium

DigiPen Institute of Technology will host its first Audio Symposium Saturday, May 11 at 1 p.m. at DigiPen’s Redmond campus, 9931 Willows Road N.E.

Sponsored in conjunction with the Game Audio Network Guild (G.A.N.G.), the event will include speakers who will present a mix of topics including sound engineering research, interactive music and game audio.

§  1:45 – 2:10 - Randy Jones – “The Soundplane”

§  2:15 – 2:40 - Andy Schloss – “The Radiodrum and Robotics”

§  2:45 - Coffee Break

§  3:00 – 3:40 - David Javelosa – “Interactive Music Composition”

§  3:45 – 4:10 - Alistair Hirst – “A Sound Designer’s Toolbox”

§  4:15 – 5:00 Brian Schmidt – “When It’s Only Sound: Creating an Audio-Only ‘Video’ Game”
