Birds of prey are part of the balance of nature and an indicator of environmental health. Rob Sandelin will introduce the common hawks of our area, share tips on how to tell them apart, and reveal fascinating details of their lives.
Rob teaches high school ornithology, mammology, entomology, and nature history at the Sky Valley Education Center in Monroe. A Snohomish native, he co-authored, in 2003, A Field Guide to the Cascades and Olympics. More of his writings can be found on his website, Northwest Natural History.
