Novelist Speaks at Overlake School

The public is invited to hear Garth Stein, author of the New  York Times best-selling literary novel "The Art of Racing in the Rain," speak at The Overlake School in Redmond at 7:30 p.m., March 16, in Discovery Hall. The free lecture caps the school's annual Writer's Symposium.

Stein previously published the novels "How Evan Broke His Head and Other Secrets," and "Raven Stole the Moon," and has written a play, "Brother Jones." He has been a documentary filmmaker, co-producing an  Academy Award-winning short film, "The Lunch Date," and directing another film. Raised in Seattle, Stein returned here to live 10 years ago.
