All children and young adults between the ages of 12 and 24 are invited to participate in a free heart screening from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. next Wednesday, Oct. 5, at .
The event is being organized by the Nick of Time Foundation, a group that seeks to prevent Sudden Cardiac Arrest in young people. The organization was formed to honor 16-year-old Nicholas Varrenti, a high school athlete who suffered SCA and died in 2004.
Screening forms for the checks are available on the foundation's website. Completed forms can be returned to the front office at Redmond High or emailed to email@example.com.
